I understand that...it's the same reason I was going without...no money.

So now that she's better off financially, she's passing them on to me. And I can't tell you how much I've been enjoying them already. Someday, when I get off disability, or win the lottery or something, I'll do the same thing - pass them on to someone who needs them. But for now, they're mine! All mine! Bwah hah hah hah hah!!!!

So to celebrate the birthday of my generous benefactor, I've created a silly little birthday picture story just for Minxy. Well, I guess anyone else who wants to can check it out, too. *g* I've had this series of pics from the Moebius episode for a while now - can't remember where I got them, sorry - but I loved them and wanted to do something with them, I just couldn't think of a use for them.

And since just yesterday we lost Don S. Davis (General Hammond) to a massive heart attack, it just seemed like more than just a coincidence that I was already working on these pics. So in honor of Don S. Davis, and my hero Minxy, I present: The Birthday Surprise! Oh, and my apologies for the Monty Python type ending...I just couldn't resist. I hope you like your little story, Minxy...and many happy returns!

:::smooches:::

~

Hey guys...I thought I'd share something I got a real laugh over, and also let you know what's up with me. I'm spending a lot of time on my smutday posts...my regular two weekly Wednesday Smutday posts (one for the R rated crew, and one for the NC17 crowd), a Fetish Fridays post (or possibly two), plus an Insane Smutday post for Insane Thursdays - which are dedicated to all the things that Live Journal frowns on... (You may not see much at the Insane Thursdays and Fetish Fridays links, since a lot of those are members locked to keep the kiddies out.)

Then there's my new blog - Gay Erotic Art Links. Yeah...just what I needed - another blog. But I have so many links to artist's sites, and other people's collections of gay art, link lists of gay art, blogs that feature gay art...all collected while gathering pictures for my smutday posts, that I was having trouble keeping them all organized. So this is my attempt to organize - Blogger allows you as many links as you can post, all listed down the side in neat categories, so I"m taking advantage of that.

And of course, I couldn't leave it at just a list of links, that would be pretty boring. Besides, I wanted to show off the art of some of my favorite artists, so I decided to feature a different artist each week, and post a fairly representative collection of their work, along with a list of the places I found the best collections of their artwork posted on the web. That way you can see what they do, and decide if you want to follow the links to check out more of their art. Cool, huh? Well, I'm enjoying it.

(Please Note: don't follow the link to Blogger if there are kids or people who embarrass easily in the room! Blogger doesn't really believe in cut tags. I can't get them to work on more than one post at a time...otherwise they get all wonky and start linking to the wrong post. It's pretty funny actually, you click on the link to see more of Michael Kirwan's art, and you end up looking at the bears of Minoru or the piss art of Rex! So I take the cuts out of the last entry when I post a new one.)

I have six posts up now - I'm posting one a week - since they're fairly exhaustive posts, I don't really have time to do more...what with my other posts, and trying to do some writing on the side. (I"m working on updating an old NCIS piece right now.) I have to admit, it's been keeping me pretty busy. But that's better than just sitting around doing nothing...which I have a habit of doing if I don't have a deadline of some sort to keep to. So yeah. That's what I'm up to these days. Whew!

Okay, now to the entertainment portion of our post. Here's a hilarious clip I found on YouTube - check this out guys...

<lj-embed id="7" />

And since I seem to have bad luck with embedding vids, I'll offer the link to the vid over on YouTube too, just in case. VeRy FuNNy CaTs Vr1

Enjoy!

The Live Journal Oz Fandom's Shivs and Shanks Ficathon is accepting prompts through next Monday. I encourage everyone who's into Oz, or even has just watched an episode and thought about the kind of Smut that could be written for a series that takes place in a prison and has a canon gay couple as two of the most popular and fascinating characters in the series, to go over to the prompts post, and offer a few Smutty suggestions. The Smuttier the better, if you ask me. And you should. Ask me, that is.

So, to encourage the posting of prompts, thought I'd offer a pic spam of Smutty scenes from Oz. Of course this pic spam will be clean enough to make it past even the major network censors, since it's in an R rated post. (I made this post to pimp the ficathon over at smutday, and it had to go in an unlocked post, that's why it's so clean. Relatively speaking, that is...)

One nice thing about your series running on HBO was that there was no such thing as censoring out the dirty bits. I don't think Oz would be the same if Jaz Hoyt couldn't shake his dangly bits at the camera, or if Keller couldn't piss in a bucket on screen. I always wanted to see Claire find a more creative use for her night stick, if ya know what I mean. It might have freaked Ryan O'Reily out, but I bet Keller would have gotten off on it, don't you? That would have been a scene to remember.

Since there are so many pics, I shrunk a bunch of them. You can click on the pic to see the full sized shots of the one's that were too big to post here. Oh man, this post took forever to put together, so you'd better appreciate it, dammit! If not, there's a shank with your name on it - and I'm not afraid to use it. Understand?

Enjoy!

I thought we'd start out with the scene that convinced me that Oz was a show I should take a closer look at. The Laundry Room Scene - Tobias Beecher and Chris Keller's First Kiss.

Vern prepares for a little hanky-panky with his favorite prag (bitch.)

Beecher and Keller again. Schillinger closed in, shoving him hard into the cinder blocks, the spot where Toby’s fist had connected with Schillinger’s jaw a darker splotch in an angry red face.

“You ever raise your hand to me again, and you won’t live to regret it. Now, hold still.” He shoved a washcloth into Toby’s mouth, gagging him. Schillinger smiled cruelly. “This is gonna hurt you a hell of a lot more than it hurts me.”

~
First time I've written in a while...you can't imagine what a relief it was to get it posted. I wanted to rant and cheer and announce it loudly here on my journal, but I couldn't, since the oz_magi authors hadn't been revealed yet. And my recipient was poetfades2black who's on my friends list, so I couldn't even hint around about it, since I was so late and was the only person who had a story posted that day.

So now I get to cheer about it. Yay! I actually wrote something! Whew! Thank goodness for ozsaur. She was very supportive during all my hair pulling and moaning and groaning. Poor thing.

:::pats Ozsaur on the head:::

And I have to admit, this story is all her fault. The two options were a Dino/Ryan O'Reily story, and a Dino/Alvarez story, and when I asked for this wish I had in mind writing the second one. But Stacey had all these ideas about a Dino/O'Reily story that just really made sense to me - and that had been my problem with that pairing all along: it just didn't really make sense to me. But after Stacey pounded it into my head a few times, the ideas began to coalesce, and it really came together much better than I had ever expected.

Tuesday is not actually the complete idea I originally had, but it quickly became much too long to write in the time I had left, so I had to shorten it a good deal. There's still a possibility that the rest will get written at some point. It would still work with Tuesday - a few more encounters between the two before things end up going totally FUBAR when Dino is instructed by his family to kill Ryan. The idea is still there, anyway...

The oz_magi reveal was yesterday, so now I can finally tell everyone about it. I haven't gotten it posted in breakingparole yet, but I'll get it up in the next few days. But in case you want to look at it now, you can read it at Oz Magi, just follow the link below. You should go there, anyway - I never mentioned it, and I should have, but there are tons of good stories to read this year, so go check them all out! Here's the link to the reveal post, which lists them all: Oz Magi Master List.

And here's the info on my story:

Title: Tuesday
Alpha & Beta: ozsaur, my hero and shit
Characters: Dino Ortolani/Ryan O'Reily
Rating: NC17
Warnings: Violence
Spoilers: None
Synopsis: Dino likes to keep an eye on his closest competitors, and the O'Reily brothers are definitely worth keeping an eye on. It's become a regular thing for him - Tuesday night out with the boys.
Word Count: 4421 words
Disclaimer: Don't own' em - not making any money off 'em.

So I've been hibernating - again. Not doing much of anything so's you'd notice. I am slowly working on a number of projects, but nothing breathtaking. Just stuff. After this last bit of LJ insanity, I decided to back up my LJ, and I'm currently working on backing up both my fic journals and my rec journal.

Yes - I know it's been over a year since I updated dustyrydersrecs, but that's about to change. It's my New Year's Resolution - to update that journal at least once a month. So there. We'll see how that goes, but that's the plan anyway. I'm putting it up at Insane Journal. I've already got my fic journal up at JournalFen, but it still needs some work on the formatting. And there are links that need to be updated on both of them. It's been a slow process, but I'm getting there. I'll let you know when the journals are all fixed up and ready to read.

The main thing I'm doing right now is the Festival of Pictures we have going for the month of December over at smutday. I'm posting pictures daily for the whole month - two sets of pictures, actually. One set is the R rated Daily December post, with a variety of Smutty pictures - gay, het, male, female - in various groupings.

The other daily post is the NC17 rated Penis Pictures of the Day...yes, that's right. Penises. Lots and lots of penises. Sometimes there are even men attached to them. It depends on the day. You'll notice I said pictures - plural. That's right - never one to be conservative...I post as many Penis Pictures as I'm in the mood to upload. Today, the 15th, our current Cock Count is 58, so I expect to break 100 well before the month is out. Yeah, what can I say...it keeps me out of trouble. Well - the worst trouble, anyway.

The other thing I'm working on - struggling with - is my writing. It's coming VERY SLOWLY. Fortunately, I only signed up for one thing this holiday season - my traditional oz_magi story. Struggling. Really struggling. And for the first time ever I got my first pick. And I'm still struggling. Argh. I'll get there though. Soon, hopefully. I'd keep my fingers crossed, but it's really hard to type that way, you know?

I'm still struggling with my mood, too. Fighting Disability and Mass Health isn't helping any, but hey, what are you gonna do? They frown on manslaughter, so that's my other option out. At least I'm getting SSI now. That's something. The depression is not easy to kick, but I'm working on it. I find it's easier if I ignore it. :::rolls eyes::: yeah I know - avoidance is not a good solution, but it's a hell of a lot easier than dealing with it, right? *g* What else is new?

I turn the big Five-Oh in about two weeks...and I gotta tell you, the mini-hot-flashes aren't helping my mood any. Perimenopause...now that's just what I wanted for Christmas. Oh, and I have a broken tooth that's causing me a bit of hell. Owie. Talk about a pain in the ass. Oh, sorry, I meant pain in the mouth, didn't I? *g*

Other than that...I'm hanging in there, I guess. That's better than not hanging in there, right? I'll try to read my flist more regularly...maybe I'll have something more interesting to post about, and it won't take me two weeks to get my shit together next time.

So...what's up with you guys?

~

More than 25 million men, women and children have already died of AIDS, and an estimated 33.2 million people around the world are currently living with HIV infection. Last year alone, an estimated 2.5 million new HIV infections occurred worldwide, and 2.1 million people died from AIDS. The plague is still out there, and we can't stop fighting now.

I found a few things I wanted to share with you...an AIDS awareness quiz you should check out - see how much you really know. I got 10 out of 10 on the Easy level, I don't think I'd do so well on the more difficult ones, though. Also, some world cartoonists views of the AIDS epidemic - I found some of them rather enlightening. And I made some icons - help yourselves, pass them around if you want, or link back to this post if you would rather. Credit is optional.
Wow...a birthday on Thanksgiving. Mine falls between Christmas and New Year, so I know how it is to have your birthday usurped by other holidays. Hope it's a happy one anyway, Wye!

Turkey Day's not a big deal to me right now...my family is a very long way away, so I don't go home or anything. But today I turned on the computer and did my usual thingie...checked my email, checked the sites I have tabbed to my homepage...clicked on the Hunger Site and related pages and realized I haven't mentioned the Hunger Site here in a while. And since it's Thanksgiving and food is the theme of the day, here in the States, at least - I decided I'd mention it.

Save The World - One Click At A Time!

On each of these websites, you can click a button to support the cause -- each click creates funding, and costs you nothing! You can only click once a day, but you can click every day, and donate food to needy people, and it costs you about three seconds out of your busy day. I researched it when I first found it, and it's legit - but there's all sorts of documentation you can look up if you want to check for yourself.

And there are other sites that are related, and you can contact them all from one page, because at the top of each page is a link to the other sites, to make it easier to navigate them. With my cable modem, it usually takes me about 10 - 15 seconds to click through all six of them - depending on how busy the day is and how quick the internet is moving. Easy. Simple.

And you're doing something good - health care for needy children, mammograms for women without insurance, books to children to encourage literacy, food and care to animals in shelters, and land to help stop the destruction of Rainforests around the world. Good causes all. And well worth the time you spend. If you want to put the links up on your site or journal, follow the link at the bottom of the buttons, and you can grab the code and share the good feeling that comes with doing something good for someone in need.

Happy Thanksgiving - to everyone who celebrates it...and to everyone who doesn't: here, have a piece of virtual pie anyway.

~

They held tight – Xander was nothing if not thorough. There were no weaknesses in the links, no give in the bolts affixing them to the wall. He could feel the strength of the binding spell – Red did damn good work. That thought brought a smirk to his lips. He’d have loved to be there when Xander had explained to Willow exactly what he’d wanted.

A Black Leather Glove - Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spike/Xander. Strange as it may seem, I don't think I've ever written a fisting fic. So yeah. This one was hiding in the back of my closet for about 6 months, and I pulled it out yesterday and started working on it. Go me. Probably needs less than 1,000 words to finish it.

Tony had always thought that when it came to Gibbs, he was ready for anything. Boy was he wrong. He had never in his wildest dreams have expected *this*. But it didn’t matter. As shocked and *overwhelmed* as he currently was, it didn’t change a thing. Because there was nothing he wouldn’t do if Gibbs would just touch him again.

Untitled Gibbs/DiNozzo - NCIS. Very much a Dom/sub fic. Gibbs is upset that Tony came close to dying in an undercover op, and decides he's not going to wait any longer - he's going to take what he wants. I was writing this one while waiting for my therapy appointments, but my schedule changed, and now I don't have to wait, so I haven't touched it in about three months. Probably needs 3,000 words or so.

For once in his life, Mulder’s constantly moving mind had come to a sudden halt. He had no idea where he was, no clue as to what had happened to start the chain of events that led to this point, no understanding of how his face had come to be pushed against the hard tile wall while Skinner’s strong body pressed tightly against his back.

Untitled Mulder/Skinner - The X-Files, Mulder/Skinner, NC17. This is just about all I've got of this fic, but I like it, so I keep it. I expect it will become a comment fic when I get around to it. Probably 700 or 800 words total.

Jack pulled his head back reluctantly, separating his lips from Danny’s as he murmured. “No. This is wrong, and you know it.”

Danny’s frustrated sigh was interrupted by a loud “Oh for crying out loud! What the hell is *wrong* with you?”

“Look, you stunted little wanna-be, I am not having sex with a fifteen year old Daniel just to satisfy your perverted libido!

Untitled Clone Fic 4th part of the Clone to the Second Power Series - SG-1, Jack/Danny/Jon. The two clones Jon and Danny are trying to convince Jack to have sex with them. Will be comment fic size when I'm through with it, to match the other three. 700 to 800 words.

Jack struggled, making the whole bed shake, but despite the nature of the bonds holding him, there was no escape. Damn that little bastard! He may have used Jack’s own clothing to do it, but he’d bound Jack firmly to the bed – there was no way he was getting loose unless he could convince Danny to let him free. And there was no chance of doing that until he got the damned gag out of his mouth.

Untitled Clone Fic 5th part of the Clone to the Second Power Series - SG-1, Jack/Danny/Jon. Hmmm...seems I have a thing for tying people to beds, huh? Comment fic size - 700 to 800 words total.

“What I miss? More than anything else? Gini’s hands.” Dino took another drag on his cigarette and closed his eyes, head back against the hard cement block wall behind him. “There was this thing she used to do - aw, Jesus. She had long fingers and her hands, they looked so delicate, but they were strong, you know? When she had me in her hands, I was putty. Nothin’ but putty.”

Self-Destruct - HBO's Oz, Dino Ortolani/OMC, NC17. The infamous Dino Ortolani fic I've been working on for a couple of years, now. It's over 12,000 words already. I haven't touched it in at least six months. This is actually just part one of two, but it will be complete on its own. It really just needs three or four scenes - when I finished it, I realized I needed more development in the relationship between Dino and Nino Schibetta, and a bit more of Dino's family life. Maybe two or three thousand more words, tops.

Despite how fervently he’d wished for a case yesterday, Tony was thrilled at how easily that one had been resolved. It had involved a Marine and a missing stripper and from the moment they got on the scene, Gibbs had been all over him to keep on track. It had been difficult, what with all the pretty women around and hey, he hadn’t encouraged it, but they just kept *pushing* themselves on him. So he flirted a little. What was a man supposed to do?

Truth Will Out: Wednesday - NCIS, Gibbs/DiNozzo, DiNozzo/OMC, NC17. The Third Chapter of The Truth Will Out. I've been on the fence about this one for over a year - not sure how to proceed, and whether or not to bring in the Original Character I had in mind. But I'm going ahead with it. I hope people are still interested in it! I have about 4,000 words worth of Wednesday written - it probably needs another 4,000 words.

“You’ll be keeping your hands right where they are, or I’ll be forced to tie you up. Can you do that, Jayne? Can you do exactly what I tell you to do?”

Jayne felt another bone deep shudder run through his body. He probably woulda never told this to Mal, but there was nothing that turned him on more than the way Mal ordered him around. Sometimes, when Mal was being real Captainy, Jayne would have to go running back to his bunk and take himself in his own hand to calm him down enough to deal with Mal being so strong and in charge.

Untitled Mal/Jayne - Firefly. Another Dom/sub piece. Are you sensing a pattern, here? There's only 500 or so words of this one so far - it'll probably be 4,000 or 5,000 when it's through.

"I’m boring you?"

"Oh god no, Daniel, you could never bore me."

"But you aren’t getting hard, are you?"

"Oh. That."

"Yeah. That."

To the Victor Go the Spoils - Part 7 of The Games Men Play - SG-1, Jack/Daniel. Way, way, way overdue. I need to write this one, but I'm still struggling with the end of this series. I don't expect anything but a happy ending, but I'm not exactly sure how to get there from here. Working on it, though. I don't know if this is really the beginning or not, it's just something I was playing with. Not sure about the title, either. We're talking 8,000 words minimum on this one, probably. No clue, really...

The black checker spun around like a top, slowing down, toppling over. But before it could land on it’s side, O’Riley grabbed it, and set it spinning again. He watched it slow, again, and sighing, put his finger down on it’s edge - stopping it abruptly. He picked the checker up, and examined it.The short, slightly ragged nail of his index finger bumped over the ridges around the outside edge of the plastic game piece; then he ran his thumb over both sides...feeling the raised, embossed surface. He stared at it for a few minutes, flipping it over in his hand...as if examining the two sides for inconsistencies. Then he shrugged, and set the checker spinning once again.

Untitled O'Reily/Alvarez - HBO's Oz. Post Season Six story - O'Reily is kind of lost since Cyril's death, and Murphy is worried about his stability. He comes up with a plan to get O'Reily to help Alvarez with his boxing to help both of them get back on track. I've got one chapter of it - about 2,000 words. Probably will be 6 or 7 chapters long.

Looking back now, I can see how it all led to this point. I didn't realize what was happening. None of us did. And by the time we figured the whole thing out, it was already far too late to do anything about it. I don't know how much I'd change, anyway, even if I could. We all saw Gibbs' obsession with Ari, we all worried about it. But we never expected it all to go down the way it did.

Crossing the Line - NCIS, Gibbs/DiNozzo, DiNozzo/OFC. The epic novel that I ended up putting on hiatus when it broke my mojo. I do intend to finish it, but I think I need to work my way back into the major fic by getting some smaller ones out of the way. I didn't look it up, but I think I was around 70, 000 words the last time I checked. And it probably will be about 130,000 all told. We'll have to wait and see though, I have no idea at this point. *g*

Now's your chance to help me decide what to work on next!

View Poll: What should Dusty Work on Next?
</lj-poll-1083372>

Well, that was fun...

Now, back to work. Whee!!!

~
